In days of old when knights were bold and dragons roamed the land
The princess eeked when she had peeked to see dragon by her stand.
The knight on steed rode in with speed to save the beauty fair
He’d use his sword and his reward they became a happy pair.
Now today we have no dragons for our mighty knights to slay
But I’ve heard it said some grab a pig to make his lady’s day.
Good deeds his steely armor and fair words are now his sword.
Our knight protects his lady and her love his just reward.
He'll always help a stranger; friends and family his delight
His deeds the purest metal that makes armour shine so bright.
So grab your tankard everyone and raise it high in cheer
I dub thee now Sir Skinski; Sir tis you we all hold dear.
There was a princess sweet and kind; her beauty un-compared
She met our knight and right away knew men like he are rare.
She let Sir Skinski court her; defend her honour and her life
It was not long Sir Skinski knew Princess Tripps must be his wife.
Princess Tripps adored her shining knight but first she had to know
“What can I ask for him to fetch to prove he loves me so?”
After careful thought the light did dawn, “If I just had a pig!”
“I 'd have the families over, we can roast, then dance a jig!”
Very soon our pair got married; then they had a family
Through joys and woes, love kept them strong and all lived happily.
So again I ask that we raise a glass for our princess so renown
I also ask for purest gold to make her a fitting crown.
